Sam Pierce (she /they) is the founder and owner of Dognitive Behavior and Training, LLC. Sam got their start in shelter work, but has found her transition to working with dog guardians to be the most rewarding step in her career so far — she loves guiding both dogs and humans to their “light bulb moments” during training.

She is passionate about community care and making behavior resources accessible to all people who share their lives with companion animals.

Sam is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed, a Fear Free Certified Professional (Trainer), and a supporting member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She is also currently awaiting the results of testing to become a Karen Pryor Academy - Certified Training Partner as well as an Accredited Dog Trainer through the IAABC.
