• You’re a seasoned hiker but your dog is not

• You’re newish to hiking and want at least one end of the leash to know what they’re doing

• Hiking with your dog last year was not what you thought it would be (read: they unleashed their inner wild animal)

• Meeting your dog’s needs is important to you, and you think hiking might be a piece of that puzzle
